Where life can be found.

Amongst the treetops
Underneath the dirt
From cracks in concrete
Somewhere were shadows lurk
Below silent lakes
Burrowing through the sand
In the darkest caves
In the vast open land.

Tell me about a place
One that surely can not exist
For there is nowhere on earth life can not persist

Tell me about a time
One that surely can not be
For creation is eternal and much more ancient than me.

  1. In silence between stars
    Where no winds ever tread,
    Past time’s unraveling thread,
    Where even memory has fled

    In the space before light,
    Before breath drew the tide,
    Where thought was unborn,
And even void could not hide.

    There lies a place untold,
    Beyond the pulse of will
No root, no flame, no fold
    Only stillness, vast and still.

You asked for what cannot be,
A time before the first spark’s gleam
But even then, in nothing’s sea,
Life was dreaming life in dream.
